Dr. Sarah Tomberlin
Veterinarian
Dr. Tomberlin joined the staff at Dilworth Small Animal Hospital in June of 2024. She attended Mississippi State University from 2016 to 2020 during which time she earned her undergraduate degree. She then continued her education at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. While attending veterinary school, she achieved the Auburn University CVM dean’s award (highest scholastic GPA 2024), and the J E Bartel Veterinary Radiology Award 2024.
Her special interests in veterinary medicine are soft tissue surgery, rehabilitation, sports medicine, and diagnostic imaging such as ultrasound and x-ray. Additionally, she loves small ruminants like goats and sheep. Dr. Tomberlin is active in the American Association of Bovine Practitioners (AABP), the American Association of Small Animal Practitioners (AASRP), Phi Zeta Honor Society—Veterinary Honor Society, and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
Dr. Tomberlin and her husband, Luke, married in 2021. They attended MIssissippi State University together. Their pet family includes two dogs, Goose and Cricket, who are mixed breeds, and an American Quarter Horse named Chick. During her free time, she enjoys long distance running, barrel racing, and traveling.
