Acupuncture

There are times when traditional veterinary treatments are unable to heal our pets, and acupuncture is an alternative when Western veterinary medicines fail. Acupuncture can also be a first line of defense to certain conditions if someone wishes not to give their pet medicines or chemicals often prescribed by modern veterinarians.

Dr. Dilworth is a member of the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and practices the art of acupuncture in the small animal hospital. She operates Sport Horse Acupuncture as well.

Acupuncture is defined by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society as “the insertion of needles into specific points on the body to produce a healing response.” Dr. Dilworth has been trained to effectively treat your pets using acupuncture for many chronic conditions including arthritis, respiratory issues such as asthma, skin conditions, gastrointestinal problems, and neurological conditions including paralysis and epilepsy.
